Plain answers to the real questions: what credits buy, what each render door costs, and how Doorbank renders one authorized plate at a time.
What is a credit, and what does it buy?

A credit is the unit you spend across every FixyourFilm studio tool — video renders, planning jobs, voice, music, and mastering.
As a guide: one credit is about one second of the cheapest render door (Door C, Runware, at 1 cr/sec). So 500 credits ≈ 500 seconds of Door C, or roughly 11 full 15-second plates through Door A. Credits never expire and there is no subscription — you top up and spend.
How much does each credit pack cost?

What are the three render doors, and what does one plate cost?

Every render goes through one of three doors. The cost per plate is simply seconds × credits-per-second.

How does Doorbank work?

Doorbank renders one real plate per door. Nothing starts automatically — every plate begins only after you press the Autoriseer plaat button.
- /You type a prompt and pick a duration; the button shows the exact credit cost before you commit.
- /Only one render runs at a time (one live slot). If a plate stalls with no progress for 15 minutes, it's marked failed and the slot frees up.
- /Credits are debited when the render starts, and refunded automatically if the plate fails.
- /You watch the live stages, progress %, and ETA on the same card.
Why do I have to authorize each plate myself?

Because credits are real money. No plate renders without your explicit authorization, and there is no batch or auto-render mode — ever. You always see the cost on the authorize button before a single credit is spent, so nothing charges silently in the background.
What is the pipeline stage billing, and why does a render cost more than the plate?

A render isn't just the plate. The total is split across four pipeline stages so planning, storage, and mastering are billed transparently:
Planning · 10%
Scene breakdown, shot logic, prep.
Video rendering · 70%
The actual door plate (the cost shown on the button).
Continuity + storage · 10%
Private output storage and continuity links.
Stitch + master · 10%
Frame-matched seams and final grade.
Charges happen at the start of each stage and remain if that stage fails or is cancelled — only the failed video plate itself is refunded. See the live stage costs on your dashboard.
What happens if a render fails — do I lose my credits?

No — not for the render. If the video plate fails, its cost is refunded to your balance automatically. The planning, continuity, and stitch stages are charged because that work was completed, but the render portion (the bulk, 70%) comes back. Check your dashboard for the live credit statement.
How do I see my balance, daily limits, and what I've spent?

Two places, both live:
- /Dashboard — live credit balance, authorized plates today, the render slot, each door's daily cap, and today's stage charges.
- /Console — render status, recent calls, and shot management.
Door B (Runway gen4.5) has a daily cap of 4 renders; Doors A and C are uncapped. Your balance and meters update automatically while you work.
Do credits expire? Is there a subscription?

No. Credits never expire and there is no subscription. You top up once and spend whenever you want — pay-as-you-go, with secure Stripe card checkout.
Is my payment secure?
+
Yes. Checkout runs entirely on Stripe — your card details never touch FixyourFilm servers. Credits are granted only after Stripe confirms a paid checkout, and refunds or chargebacks revoke the granted credits automatically. The whole flow is server-side, idempotent, and amount-validated.
What's the difference between the Console and Doorbank?

The Console is your production workspace — projects, production bibles, shot lists, and render status. Doorbank is where you authorize one real plate through Door A, B, or C and watch it render live with costs and stages.
Studio tools (under /studio) are planning and preview tools — they structure creative output and bill a small credit amount per run. The real rendered plates come through Doorbank.
